Vocal removal

CSP's vocal removal service is different from standard vocal removers or -services. CSP vocal removal does not rely on the stereo-cancellation technique on which standard vocal removers rely. In stead, it uses several more advanced and new techniques in a combination depending on the source material. This requires more careful tuning than the standard technique; therefore this service may be a bit more expensive than some other standard vocal removal services, but with much better result!

Is CSP's vocal removal 100% perfect? No, no method is perfect; in fact we think the commonly used term vocal removal is misleading, and should be vocal reduction or vocal suppression. Did you know that standard vocal removers only work satisfactorily on a very small fraction of existing songs? So what is different about CSP? The differences are listed below.

Standard Vocal Removal

  • works on some stereo tracks only
  • does not work in many cases
  • can- and usually does affect backing music severely
  • stereo image is lost, becomes mono
  • amount of suppression is fixed
  • does not suppress reverb, and often leaves a lot of audible vocal traces
  • often pay first, and accept what you get, good or (mostly) bad

CSP Vocal Removal

  • works on stereo and (some) mono tracks
  • works on many tracks (with varying degree of voice suppression)
  • has less effect on backing music
  • stereo image is retained
  • amount of suppression can be controlled, up to what is achievable with the given source material
  • suppresses part of the reverb as well
  • listen first, then accept or not|
The results is:
Better vocal reduction, and
less degradation of backing music.

So what can you really expect? Well, the result is not predictable: however, whereas the standard method very often fails almost completely, CSP's method often works: But, as there is no guarantee, we run a test first! And, we let you hear it, before you pay! Unfortunately, there is still no such thing as a 100% perfect removal, but we can definitely achieve good voice suppression in many cases, and definitely as good as is currently possible!
